The Housing Venture Lab Launches its Fifth National Search for Housing Innovation
Oakland, CA - January 22, 2024 - Terner Labs announced today its annual open call for applications for The Housing Venture Lab accelerator program - a nationwide search for entrepreneurs developing innovative solutions to improve housing equity, affordability, and sustainability.
Each year, The Housing Venture Lab selects five outstanding companies or nonprofit organizations to with the potential scale transformative housing market innovations. Selected organizations will receive a $75,000 seed grant, six months of intensive coaching with national thought-leaders in housing innovation and business strategy, and technical support to assist them in navigating the complex regulatory and policy requirements that impact the housing industry.
The 2024 group will mark the Housing Venture Lab’s fifth cohort, and the continuation of a program with a proven track record of success in supporting early-stage innovators. Since starting work with The Housing Venture Lab, organizations have gone on to raise $490 million in additional funding and improve housing or wealth-building outcomes for 163,000 people. Several alumni have secured significant government partnerships and advanced policy changes since graduating from the Housing Venture Lab.
